Traces of the ancient Roman infrastructure still visible throughout the Formia area.
The archaeological landscape of Formia continues along the ancient axis of the Via Appia. Visit Lazio highlights the Roman fountain at the edge of the road and the remains of the aqueduct, useful elements for understanding how water and road networks structured the ancient city.
This is not a single enclosed site: the remains are integrated into the contemporary landscape and should only be observed from accessible spaces, without entering private property or crossing barriers. This entry also serves as a photographic reminder of points to be documented with verified coordinates on site.
